sri saththiya sai baba




Spiritual leader Sri Sathya Sai Baba, who was revered as god by hundreds of thousands of devotees around the world, passed away at the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences here today.He died at 0740 hrs from cardio-respiratory failure, the Sai Central Trust announced here this morning.His body will be kept for public view for next two days at Kulwant Hall at the Prashanti Nilayam here.the funeralis expected to take place on Wednesday.Sai Baba, 85, was admitted to the SSSIHMS on March 28 for treatment of pneumonia  and repiratory problems and was in a critical condition at the hospital for the past many days. His condition had deteriorated in the last three days.As the Sai Central Trust announced the demise of Sai Baba almost three hours later, devotees and mourners descended on this pilgrim  town to pay their last respects.Sai Baba is survived by three brothers and as many sisters and one nephew, Ratnakar, who was inducted into the Sai Central Trust headed by former Chief justice of India P N Bhagwati.
